The author of the chapbooks Curiouser & Curiouser and Wrack Lines, Lynn Schmeidler has also penned multiple works of fiction and nonfiction for outlets like the Awl, the Boston Review, Conjunctions, and KROnline. Her debut short-story collection, Half-Lives, winner of the 2023 Rising Writer Prize, was described by Matt Bell as “an endlessly smart, endlessly cool, endlessly moving collection full of evocative desire and wonder.” Schmeidler discussed Half-Lives with Jeffrey Krizman earlier this month.
